    De Gulden Vlies kamer is vernoemd naar de Kapittelvergadering van de Gulden Vlies – de reden waarom Karel V enige tijd in Duitse Huis verbleef. De kamer is gevestigd in de kluistoren uit 1450. Deze was voorheen in gebruik als kluis van de Ridderlijke Duitse Orde, archief en kerker.

    Eén van de ziekenzalen van het voormalige militair hospitaal werd vernoemd naar Unico van Wassenaer – oud landcommandeur en tevens componist en musicus. Hij componeerde onder pseudoniem. De zaal heeft een bijzonder veertiende-eeuwse eikenhouten boogconstructie van Scandinavisch hout uit 1347.

    • Graaf van Leicester

    Elizabeth I van Engeland stuurde de graaf van Leicester in 1585 met 6000 man de Noordzee over om de Spaanse opmars een halt toe te roepen. Hij was een feestbeest: voor zijn komst werden liefst 22 vaten bier werden besteld. De zaal is licht en kan ook vandaag beslist een groot feest aan!

    De Hertog van Alva Zaal is een mooie vergaderruimte met een bijzondere lichtinval in ons hoofdgebouw. Een stadstekening uit het Utrecht Archief siert de muur. Deze muur kan worden weggenomen, zodat de grotere Hertogen zaal ontstaat.

    De Hertogen zaal is een mooie vergaderruimte met een groot presentatiescherm. De zaal is een samenvoeging van de Hertog van Alva– en de Hertog van Brunswijk zaal. De ramen in het plafond met een frisse buitenvoorstelling laten daglicht door, zo blijft men gedurende de vergadering scherp en actief.

    Onze graanzolder is een knusse ruimte voor ontvangst en aperitief, en ook een ideale ruimte voor een koffiepauze tijdens een meeting in de naastgelegen vergaderruimtes. Vroeger werd hier het graan voor het brouwen van kloosterbier bewaard.

    De Caves Caroli zijn onze gerenoveerde kelders die ideal zijn voor borrels en diners met een informele sfeer. Het zijn drie verschillende unieke caves die naast elkaar zijn gelegen. Zelfs de verlichting en muziek kan naar wens ingesteld worden. Daarnaast kan er gebruik gemaakt worden van de bar en een TV-scherm.
