The Anthony is a boutique hotel in the former Sint-Antoniusklooster in the Utrecht district of Lombok, about a 15-minute walk from Utrecht Centraal. The hotel has 61 rooms, a café, a monastery garden and a roof terrace. There are spaces for meetings and events, including the old chapel.
A monastery from 1908
The hotel is located in a former Franciscan monastery, which belonged to the Antoniuskerk across the street. At the beginning of this century, the monastery lost its original function and became a care centre. Since 2019, it has been a boutique hotel with a café and restaurant, where everyone is welcome to eat, sleep, work, hold meetings, or have a drink.
Meetings in the chapel
The largest space is the former chapel, approximately 68 m2 in size, with high ceilings, natural light, and stained-glass windows. It can accommodate up to approximately 80 guests in a theatre setup or for a reception. For smaller groups, there is the Kapel Suite, suitable for training sessions and private dinners. Up to 150 guests can stand on the roof terrace for a reception. A projector, sound system, and flip chart are available. Weddings and parties are also possible.
Sleeping in lofts and apartments
In addition to hotel rooms, there are spacious lofts and apartments, also for longer stays. You can enjoy a quiet drink in the monastery garden and on the centuries-old terrace.
